Asian delegation - August 2015

A delegation of twelve senior rheumatologists from China, Hong Kong and Singapore visited the University of Glasgow from 3 – 7 August. The purpose of the visit was to foster partnership and clinical exchange between Scottish and Asian Rheumatology teams.

Professor Iain McInnes and Dr Stefan Siebert hosted the visit in conjunction with the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR), and colleagues at the University of Glasgow, the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley NHS and Glasgow Caledonian University.

The delegates participate in a discussion with Prof McInnes, Dr Siebert and Prof Naveed Sattar, and visit a ward at the Clinical Research Facility at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.‌‌

 The goal of the visit was to share updates and best practices on medical and strategic approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of rheumatologic diseases. Video conferences will be held over the next year to continue the discussions.
